Mid Autumn Festival 2010 - Night at the temple

Some of the photos from the temple last night in conjunction with the MoonCake and Mid Autumn Festival 2010...

I was there a bit early, around 7pm, the good thing if you go early is that there is still less people there and its easier to do photo shooting....

The usual "filler" - Karaoke session.... most of the uncles, aunties and some few young lads showing their singing talent on the stage....

And in the meantime, some others doing the usual praying and thanks giving ritual....

At the other side of the temple, we have this "Lantern Gallery" - it's a competition held annually but for some reason, this year we saw slightly less participation.....

The F&B division started their preparation as slowly and surely there will be more and more people to come and they need to served the MoonCake and the Chinese Tea and the soft drinks accordingly...

Let's have a look at those lanterns...

Looks like that Petronas Twin Towers?

Naruto is really popular here....

Tora = Fu = Tiger

Pervert Alien....

I think apart from the pervert alien, I like this one as well...

At about 7.30pm, they started to cut and served the MoonCake....

I eat plenty of them and wanted to eat more... LOL... but my stomach can't take more.... sigh....

The Chinese Tea are also ready now...

I did mentioned soft drinks just now... this is it, brilliant idea, for the first time since the last 3 years we have cool refreshing soya bean soft drinks... very nice and good for men coz it will help to increase the sperm amount....

Thank you very much to the foods/drinks sponsors who ever they are.....

And this year they also have this long dragon thingy....

And after all those stuff... finally the main highlights of the night and for the next 2 weeks or so, the live Chinese Opera Show.... in Hokkien, subtitles in Chinese is provided - they have this electronic board on the side of the stage....

All the performers are imported all the way from the mainland P.R. of China....

And more and more people at this time now (around 8.30pm to 9.00pm)

And the mooncake is getting less and less....

From my personal observation, this year we seems to have more crowds than the previous years and I can see more and more shutter bugs (those people of camera and photography) going to this event and hopefully this will help to promote the event to the rest of the local and international communities.

It's good to see that many local people bring their family for this annual occasion and appreciating the old tradition while introducing it to the younger generation and hopefully this will continue for many generations to come....
