Sengoku Haou

This Sengoku Haou trading figures depicting the prominent figures and characters from the Sengoku period.

12 Die-cast metal figures of some of the most important Haou (warrior leaders) of the Sengoku (Warring States) Period, such as Oda Nobunaga, Takeda Shingen, and Date Masamune, each figure stands about 10cm high, and is beautifully painted and the only catch is that it is sold y the randomly packed box of 12.

The normal retail price is 6,000 yen (about SGD 92.00 / NZD 92.00 / AUD 75.00 / USD 65.00) before adding the relevant shipment charges.

The box... quite big, that Coke is just for comparison purpose only... so basically the shipment charges wont be cheap as well...

There are 15 of them all to collect plus 1 "mystery character"...

Since these are trading figures and are individually sealed and randomly packed in boxes of 12 before shipment to HobbyLink Japan it is difficult to honor customers requests for individual or specific figures, nor can they promise you which one(s) you will receive in a box. So for this kind of random stuff, order only if you are willing to accept any of the possible types.

This is out they packed it... 12 boxes inside the big box...

Even from looking at those small boxes... We still don't know which one that we get... the only way to find out is to take them all out from their boxes...

Out of the box/packaging... this is basically how it is...

All 12 of them....

We will start with Ashikaga Yoshiaki (1537-1597)

In case if you want to know how I knew the name exactly.... I'm not that clever although I am quite familiar with many of these names from my favorite PS2 game - Kessen III by Koei and in fact that is the very reason that influenced me to get this item.

Basically, Del Prado Japan printed the name of each figure/character underneath the display base, something like this;

So it is easy for us to learn the name for each characters...

Next is Konishi Yukinaga (1555 - 1600)

Next is Todo Takatora (1556 - 1630)

Next is Date Masamune the One Eyed Dragon or Dokugan Ryu (1567-1636)

Next is Ishida Mitsunari (1560-1600)

Next is Sakai Tadatsugu (1527-1596)

Next is Ikeda Tsuneoki (1536-1584)

Next is Yumi Ashigaru

Probably most Gundam fans are familiar with Shin Musha Gundam and this is Nodachi Musha

In a way I feel quite lucky to only have 1 same item/character, and this is the one... There are cases where you can get 2 or 3 of the same items sometimes and of coz everybody would hope for a perfect different 12 but chances are 50-50....

And thankfully also it is Maeda Toshiie... one of the loyal characters/retainers of Oda Nobunaga's army if you play Kessen III that is...

And last but not least... the magnificent Oda Nobunaga... the hero Daimyo of Kessen III...

A group photo of the 11 characters...

And lastly this close up photos of their faces...

Overall this is indeed a pretty nice die-cast display figures made by Del Prado Japan but at the same time it is quite pricey as well and may not appeal the "small potatoes" and therefore only matured or certain specific collectors who love the essence and historical value of Japan's Sengoku period would love to buy this item.
