Figma Meiya Mitsurugi - UN Troop Version

This is Figma Meiya Mitsurugi (Mitsurugi Meiya / 御剣冥夜) from the PC Games with the title of Muv-Luv.

I don't know much about the game but the reason I bought the Figma is because of the Minarukamui Katana and also because the way I look at her body, I could imagine that she can do a whole lot of action pose due to the simple design of her uniform/clothing/body.

So this is it;

The box...

Out of the box...

You will get all of these... the extra hands...

The Minarukamui Katana and it's sheath

The standard Figma stand

Yes of coz the plastic bag...

Let's look at the body...

Do you know what is that under her chin?

A nice UN Logo on the right

I think this must be the squad logo or something...

The sculpting work, the painting job and the details are quite nice....

Is that V for Vagina ?

Nice shoe design...

The hands/glove - I didn't really like this part...

That ponytail at the back also have some articulations on it...

The long white hair ribbons can also move to left and right...

Let's see the articulation of the body by doing some action pose...

As I said earlier, she can do lots of dynamic posing - even without using the Figma stand... she got nice long legs there...

That hair at the back can also be detached easily... so I think it's OK to bring this Meiya for outdoor activities.... nothing that can break easily.... very nice....

This how she look like without that hair/ponytail at the back of her head...

OK, now we continue with more action pose...

I have difficulties to make her standing on 1 leg doing this kicking act.... so I have to use Figma stand to help me...

Strippers pole?

Now it's the katana time....

And lastly, I tried using some of the "GunPla" weapons on her... first we start with the Zaku machine gun...

Now with Zaku's Bazooka...

Heat hawk (axe)...

This actually the rifle of Storm Shadow, the G.I. Joe 3.75 inch action figure...

And last but not least... beam saber....

Finally that is her destination - her "parking space"... Shewsbury Figma Gallery...

Overall this is a very nice Figma, action pose is never a problem, she comes with a nice katana (and the sheath as well) and if you are one of those people who played the Muv-Luv game, probably you would love to have her as well.

The only issue I had is with her hands, I basically don't like the design or the way it looks (or probably I'm just a boring old fashion traditionalist type) and on top of that, the hands can easily fall down from the arm if you put too much force while moving/posing the arms. It's nothing really serious or harmful but without that issue I guess this could've been a perfect Figma already.

But then again, there is also a good thing about that because it is easier now to switch the hands.... I did experience in the past where you need a little "extra pull" when you one to take out the hands from the arms and some people use "too much power" and end up break something in the process and get frustrated.

With only 1 extra face expression I think 2,667 is slightly a little expensive for this Figma as usually you can get many of them below 2,400 yen only but I guess maybe it is because of that nice katana and the sheath as well as the brilliant paint job they did on her body.
