1/144 HG 00 Raiser Designer's Color Ver. - Part 2

You can read the Part 1 in here.

Continuing straight away the post of yesterday, we start the post today immediately with action pose with the sword (or GN Sword to be precise)

This GN Sword Rifle II as the name suggest can be a sword or a rifle...

Something like this...

And this is the Raiser unit (GNR-010 0 Raiser), piloted by Saji Crossroad...

Towards the end of the first season in the anime we saw Exia combined with the big GN Arms to get more power boost and higher level of speed and maneuver capabilities. My personal opinion is that the idea of GN Arms comes from the Meteor Unit in Seed/Seed Destiny era...

4 years later (in the anime), Celestial Being managed to design something almost similar but much more smaller unit to accompany the 00 Gundam and the result is this 0 Raiser.

Come with this display stand...

To attached it to the 00 Gundam, just do a little folding on the back part of it, something like this;

And just attach it into that hole at the back...

And this is it...

Now let's look at the body again with the Raiser unit attached (or combined) to the 00 Gundam;

It's kind of heavy for this 00 Gundam but with a little adjustment to the standing posture, it is not impossible to make it stand firm like this;

This back pack stuff remind me of those days during the Seed and Seed Destiny era...

Let's see more posing with the weapons now...

Due to the extra weight of the Raiser unit, it's quite challenging to pose this Gundam on it's foot so I guess it's easier to just pose him "on the air" with the help of the Action Base 2.

And a little outdoor photos....

OK, this is the additional photos taken during my lunch time just now;

This time with reference to the manual, I attached that 0 Raiser wing unit onto the shoulder part - near the GN Drive...

And in this photo, I just try to attached the mini GN Shield to the arms...

This 2 mini GN Shield actually can be combined into 1 to form a bigger GN Shield and as much as I like Gundam or any other MS (if you wonder what this means, MS = Mobile Suit) to have their own unique shield, for this particular 00 Gundam however, I think I don't mind to pose it without the shield, I think I prefer to see him with that twin GN Sword...

Nonetheless you can refer to the manual below on how to combine the GN Shield.

And last but not least... the standard Beam Saber for all Gundam.. it's a must have... I honestly can't remember if we ever saw 00 Gundam using the beam saber in the anime... seriously I forgot, maybe I need to re-watch the anime again soon... but for what is worth, the beam saber is located right on the ass of this Gundam... as you can see in the photo below;

And too bad, Bandai did not provide any beam saber in the packaging... luckily for me, I have many other 1/144 GunPla, MSiA and GFF so I can just get it easily...

For the sake of doing it... this is the only 1 photo with beam saber...

Overall I think this is the best 1/144 GunPla in terms of articulation that I've ever had... As for the design, I think it's quite nice and well designed as well though I personally hope it would be better if the beam saber is not located at it's current position (the ass)... maybe some where on the body or the arms or even the legs would be cool... then again, I am not an expert designer or engineer to complain much about it as I don't have much knowledge about mecha design anyway. This 00 Gundam shows a typical modern generation design for Gundam.

Again just like Exia, Bandai did not provide any beam saber part (they do give 1 tooth pick beam saber type with Exia) but somehow this time around I think I can forget about that because as you can see on most of the photos above... I just basically love to pose this 00 Gundam only with those twin GN Sword... just with that I'm quite satisfied already but maybe you have different opinion on that.

I'm happy that they fix that part on Exia where the GN Sword mounted on the side waist part can easily fall down specially if you try to pose the Exia with it. This time around I can pose the 00 Gundam without worrying about such problem at all.

And last time on the ankle part of Exia - the front side... another annoying part there... it's quite loose and can be easily detached from the legs... this time around, Bandai have design what I think a superior ankle system on this 00 Gundam.

Oh, don't forget this is just a 1/144 HG kits and already I'm quite happy with it... I believe and I hope that next time when Bandai finally release the 1/100 MG kit for this model... it's gotta be as good as it should be (in MG terms).

I think I happily skip the 1/100 MG Exia and wait for the 1/100 MG 00 Gundam.
