1/100 MG Strike Rouge (MBF-02) with Uzumi Speed Pack

Labeled as Strike Rouge, it is in fact not wrong either if you call this pink Gundam as Aile Strike Rouge.

After stuck in the box for several months, finally we can see the review of 1/100 MG Strike Rouge (MBF-02) with Uzumi Speed Pack (USP).

(Warning: Almost all the facts and information in this review are fake and created for fun only. So if you have shorter penis or no penis at all which means that you are desperate to look for real and correct facts, go somewhere else. They are hundreds if not thousands of Gundam blog out there that can provide you with correct information. If you don't mind to be crazy and fun, then go ahead, read further)

Strike Rouge is one of the mobile suit that survived from Gundam Seed (CE 71) and live on thru Gundam Seed Destiny (CE 73) and even after the final battle, Strike Rouge live on an appear in the final episode of Gundam Seed Destiny standing proud with the magnificent Integrated Weapon Striker Pack (IWSP).

This Strike Rouge is the only direct surviving legacy of the hugely popular Strike Gundam (GAT-X105) that first appear in Gundam Seed (CE 71) and probably Sotsu/Sunrise/Bandai knew that this model is an important "money-maker" for them in the future and thus they decided not to "terminate" the "Strike legacy".

The Strike Rouge was first piloted by Cagalli Yula Athha, who used the suit for a relatively brief period during the Second Battle of Jachin Due and the last time we see it in actions is when Kira Yamato use it to protect Eternal from ZAFT's attack and subsequently subdue the enemy easily with his new MS, the Strike Freedom Gundam.

In terms of design and capabilities, Strike Rouge can match Strike Gundam by combining with any of the Striker Weapon System (Aile, Launcher and Sword) as well as the IWSP with the exception of the missing "Phase Shift Armor" as after all it was build with the help of Morgenroete (the original developer of GAT-X Series) in Orb.

Kira Yamato later re-programmed the computer system on Strike Rouge before obtaining his magnificent Strike Freedom Gundam, the Strike Rouge finally have the "Phase Shift Armour" system on it's core but even so, the Strike Rouge was not able to cope with the newly designed MS from ZAFT's and suffered heavy damaged during the skirmish.

Nonetheless, I suddenly decided to use the Canon EF 50mm f/1.8 Mark II lens for this review and I think I like the outcome very well - maybe some of you dislike it but then again photography is like eating cheese cake, it's all about personal taste.

Most of the times this lens is just resting inside the plastic contena and just suddenly I decided to use it again after such a long rest. Though this lens have a very fast speed but it has no lens stabilizer (or maybe others call it as "anti-shake") and that is why I seldom use it but the outcome surely can be better than the standard kit-lens which I use most of the time, the Canon EFS 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS.

Most of the photos are over-exposed but I like it that way and other than resizing and that Shewsbury Land labels, no editing what so ever, all is direct from camera.

So let's have a look this Strike Rouge from Shewsbury Land...

The box...

All the runners and stuff...

Frame wise, this is basically Strike Gundam recolored by Bandai. It is quite easy and simple to build and worked on. If you never have any experience working on the MG kits, I strongly recommend this model as a starter because it is indeed easy and fun.

More importantly, once you finished with it... you will be happy to see the great articulation this model could offer.

From what I heard, apparently, back then, Bandai put in a lot of extra efforts to make this MG kit as something special or great (at least at that point of time way back in 2003) and their efforts really pays off for many years later - continuously - and I am on of those people who regularly giving lots of money to Bandai and there are plenty more out there, maybe you are one of us as well...

I decided not to put too much sticker/decals this time around but rather I used lots of flat/matte top coat... several layers....

And as always, I didn't bother to really follow the manual about the stickers/decals... I just put it where I want it to be and that's that...

The "Haro" will protect the pilot from danger and annoyed the enemy....

Articulation wise is very good... this photo can prove it....

Well maybe it is not as great as the more modern MG kits but still this is quite good considering the fact that Bandai released Aile Strike Gundam in 2003.

Weapon wise... it is basically Strike Gundam... first, the unique "Armor Schneider" combat knives... not many other Gundam have it - well of course Impulse Gundam have it as well - but obviously we all knew "why"....

And the next weapon and armaments are 57 mm high-energy beam rifle and the standard beam shield....

Uzumi Mega Rifle.... this is not standard but rather an additional weapon designed by "Chen Soo Bien" a talented engineer and an avid Japanese porn lover who masturbate 5 times a week LOL.

And this is a gift from Japan Historical Museum... they call it "Sengoku Anchor"... and surely this weapon is pretty cool and powerful...

Dom Bazooka, produced "Pinky Pig Circus Corporation".... this can shoot a laughing gas that can make you laugh till you fart LOL.....

And now it's the Striker Weapon System time.... first we start with the Launcher Striker Pack to make Launcher Strike Rouge.

This is surely one heavy weapon... not the type you want to bring for picnic...

And now the Sword Striker Pack to make Sword Strike Rouge....

And this is basically the original Striker Pack that comes with this Strike Rouge. The Aile Striker Pack to make Aile Strike Rouge with some additional stuff called Uzumi Speed Pack (USP). This USP have no function or purpose what so ever, just to make this Strike Rouge different from the usual Rouge ^__^

The box art action pose...

And more action pose....

Beam saber.... we surely love it....

Another close look on the Uzumi Speed Pack (USP)

And finally the complete IWSP to make Strike Rouge with IWSP....

Overall, this is a nice and easy GunPlaMo kit for beginners and surely quite enjoyable for the advance modeler as well. I'm not sure why Bandai sold it for 4,000 yen (200 yen extra from MG Aile Strike Gundam) but maybe that is all for that lovely pink color scheme and the different decals.... maybe....

If you are a big fan of Strike Gundam (GAT-X105) this would be a unique addition to your collection... go grab them now...

As for me, this is the history;

2007 - MG Aile Strike Gundam
2008 - MG Launcher/Sword Strike Gundam
2009 - MG Strike Gundam with IWSP
2010 - MG Strike Rouge and maybe another MG Launcher/Sword Strike Gundam soon .... hehehehe...

It's Ascension Day and I gotta rush to go to church now.... cheers...
