Monthly Clean Up

I do the cleaning job on my Gundam and Figure display shelf once a month - tentatively on the weekend of the month end.

Last Sunday I spent some 3 hours just to clean up all those evil dust on the shelf as well as on the Gundam/figures body.... we all hate dust...

That's how the cabinet look like without all those Gundams... one after another, first the Gundam shelf (a.k.a Gundam Gallery) and next is the figures cabinet - in fact I used to call it as "Figma Gallery" because it is suppose to be exclusively for Figma but along the way after some negotiation amongst themselves, other figures including some of the Gundams are also renting some space there... but priority is always for the Figma...

That is where I will just dumb them temporarily... The first procedure is always to take down all those Gundams/figures... that take some time and you need to do it carefully as otherwise accident may happen - the Gundams or Gunpla may fall down and suffer unwanted injuries and you will feel bad about it...

The next procedure is wiping the shelf with wet cloth and followed by dry cloth - in fact this is easy...

The next process, which consume lot's of time depending on how many Gundam/figures you have is clean up those dust on their bodies using brush...

Once I completed with the Gundam Gallery... then I move on to the Figma Gallery and of course I have to continue to the coffee table cleaning up all those GFF/GFFN and from there I will then continue cleaning up some of the Figma and Figures on the TV rack and might as well wipe those dust on the TV, DVD player and PS2.

On top of cleaning, usually this is the time when I also do some maintenance, like fixing loose joints or loose armor parts etc., checking the sticker and decals and so on...

It is tiring and time consuming but then again, we have no choice... if you love your Gundam/Figures you would not like to see those dust invading them right?

How often do you do this cleaning stuff for your Gundams/figures/toys collection?

Weekly? Monthly? Yearly?
