Bburago - Ferrari F12berlinetta
The Ferrari F12berlinetta is a front mid-engine, rear-wheel-drive grand tourer produced Ferrari. The F12berlinetta, debuted at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, replaces the 599 series grand tourer. The naturally aspirated 6.3 litre Ferrari V12 engine in the F12berlinetta has won the International Engine of the Year Awards 2013 in the Best Performance category and Best Engine above 4.0 litres. The F12berlinetta was named "The Supercar of the Year 2012" by car magazine Top Gear.
Today we will look at this die cast scale model of this F12berlinetta produced by Bburago, first the packaging:

I think the casting, painting and finishing quality is very good, Bburago did a splendid job on this model. The detailing and the marking are equally good, they didn't forget to include that "Pininfarina" insignia at the side of the car, just like the real car and while the front lights detailing are again created using decal stickers but it looks great and I really appreciate that Bburago put in effort to also painted the exhaust pipe at the rear. The wheel design however is not spectacular but it's still decent and quite typical for models produced by Bburago.
The interior detailing for this scale is good and as always, way much better than Hot Wheels.
Overall, this is a very good representation of Ferrari F12berlinetta from Bburago and I think that this is one of the best model I ever bought from Bburago at this scale. The casting and the scaling in particular feel so nice and I like it so much. I have 4 models now from Bburago and without doubt this is most my among the 4 of them.

I have been attentive to the development of May Cheong Group and its main diecast brands: Maisto and bBurago and I would say that while Maisto still doesn’t "pay the bill" in my humble opinion and that’s why I don’t have a single model made by such brand, I knew about bBurago since when it was an independent italian brand and I must say that they offer the good quality you expect from any european diecast brand, even now as part of a chinese conglomerate...
ReplyDeleteThis diecast is actually a nice proof of that, I don’t know the scale, it looks a bit bigger than 1:64 and it’s very well detailed, I like the paint job too, but I agree with you: the wheels design could be better, it’s the only drawback... =D
