1/24 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano (Maisto Assembly Kit )

This is the 1/24 scale Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano simple assembly model kit from scale model manufacturer Maisto, the company who bought Bburago.

I do have plan to try working on plastic model kit car from Tamiya which is easy to assembled but need lots of effort and works on painting and detailing... hopefully someday I can try it... but not so soon...

For now I will try this easy die cast metal and plastic assembly model kit from Maisto.

The price SGD 25.00 and I think it is indeed quite cheap and surely can give you some funs...

The box...

Out of the box...

The manual... from the look of it... I get excited... this is easier than 1/144 HG GunPlaMo kit...

All the stuff.... nicely packed and sorted... well there are not that many anyway...

The dashboard, some interior parts for door and the engine parts...

The seats, exhaust pipe and some sticker decals...

The exterior chasis part... die cast metal, already nicely painted with all those special decals...

And another interior part....

So in just within 1 hour, maybe just 45 minutes, I'm sure some of you could do it within 30 minutes maybe..... this is the result...

My first Ferrari F599 GTB Fiorano... assembled by me... cool...

The car looks quite good overall... maybe for some folks who like adventures, you can maybe change the color of the parts or the body the of car... you have to love all those painting job though.

Let's have a close look at those decals on the car....

Openable doors and hood... I love it...

Let's see the tiny details on the interior... it's more fun to see it after assembly works...

The interior details is not that great or something to be boasted about but I think it's better than none and for what is worth... I think it is quite decent and justify the low price...

The engine... of coz... one thing that I like about scale model cars is those engine details... I honestly don't understand anything about it automotive engineering or car engine stuff but it's cool to see those monster under the hood...

However... at such a low price... it's a big sin to expect something great... I'm sure you can get much better details if you buy those 1/18 Ferrari scale model cars made by Hot Wheels nowadays...

As for this model made by Maisto... this is all what it can offer.... not great, but again, better than none....

They have this PanAmerican map on the roof of the car...

Time for some complaints.... I can see some obvious gap on this part.... I've done everything correctly in accordance to the manual and even try to push it harder but it remain the same... I'm not sure what else to do... will try to assess the situation again next time maybe...

The second complain is on this part between the main screen and the roof....

Apart from those 2 minor thing... I guess I don't have any other complains.

Side by side with the 1/24 ORC Nissan Fairlady Z3 2006 that we reviewed here recently.

  3. Anonymous, nope - no chance for that... but if you don't like it, you can always repaint the car...

  4. It looks beautiful!

I love the Maisto 1:24 diecast line.

They're incredibly sturdy and can survive really hard play. Check out the photos that prove it at my constantly updated article: 1:24 diecast cars.

I haven't bought the assembly kit because my kid is to young for it (6)... but the regular 1:24 line is perfect for 3+ year olds!
