Cosmic Region Destiny Gundam

This is the last unit of GFF/Cosmic Region Destiny Gundam snatched from our official online shop HLJ.

The price is 3,680 yen (about SGD 57.00) before shipment charges...

I personally don't fancy Shit Asuka... sorry.. I mean Shin Asuka... at all... in a way I would say that I don't like him actually...

However, Bandai make great MS for him... from the brilliant Force Impulse Gundam (a monotone of Sword Strike Gundam) in the opening episode, to the popular Force Impulse Gundam (monotone of Aile Strike Gundam) and the heavy Blast Impulse Gundam (monotone of Launcher Strike Gundam) and finally this magnificent Destiny Gundam which incorporate all the aspect of Force Impulse, Sword Impulse and Blast Impulse (or if you like Aile Strike, Sowrd Strike and Launcher Strike) into one single MS with compromising the speed, agility and mobility....

Yes, in my opinion, Destiny Gundam is a marvelous Gundam in terms of looks, design and functionality...

This is the GFF Destiny Gundam out of the box..

First thing to dislike about GFF items is those wires and too many cello tapes...

Out of the box these all you will get... Destiny Gundam and all it's equipments and weapons...
- 3 pairs of extra hands
- MX2351 "Solidus Fulgor" beam shield generator, mounted on wrists.
- 2 x RQM60F "Flash-Edge 2" beam boomerang, mounted on shoulders, hand-carried in use.
- MMI-714 "Arondight" anti-ship sword, stored in right wing, hand-carried in use.
- M2000GX high-energy long-range beam cannon; stored in left wing, hand-carried in use.
- MA-BAR73/S high-energy beam rifle
- Last but not least the extendable shield.

And not to forget.. the nice action base/display stand...

As always... let's look at the body...

Articulation on GFF is not really that great but they are still passable, for this Destiny, it can still do this kneeling pose...

Destiny sure looks cool...

Simple "GFF stance" - looks cool by just standing there...

Action pose... well, we never really see Destiny Gundam in action on the ground right? or am I wrong? Most of the times Destiny just fly fly fly... in the sky on earth and also at the outer space...

So I decided to just put it on the action base/display stand and play around with it... for a while...

Beam rifle...

One of the cool aspect about Destiny... the white thing on the shoulder is not just for show.. take it out and it can be a beam boomerang...

And also beam saber...

The beam canon...

And the famous big sword... this is the main reason that makes me getting this Destiny... big lovely sword called Arondight

How I wish they create an improve version of Strike Gundam and all it's Striker Pack and put it all into 1 single MS just like this Destiny.... Bandai gave us Freedom to replace Strike.

Would be cool to display the GFFN Aile Strike and this GFF Destiny Gundam like this;

Strike's Muramasa Katana vs Destiny Arondight...

Overall, this particular unit of GFF Destiny Gundam that we have here is OK but you will still encountered the GFF virus like lousy joints and some mistake in painting or sculpting here and there... worst still, the right shoulder of this particular unit that we have is a nightmare... it tends to pop out all the time... a slight movement of the arms and it can fall down easily... damn...at the end I have to put some facial tissue inside the joint to make it a little bit tight

I guess it would be a nice idea to also consider the 1/144 HG Destiny Gundam.

  2. Actually, the Destiny Gundam was based off the ZGMF-X56S/θ Destiny Impulse which is an attempt to make the Impulse Gundam an all-purpose mobile suit just like the Destiny was. I'm no SEED fanboy, but if you need any info, just ask me.
