This is a die cast car scale model of Ferrari 365 GTS4 - also known as Ferrari Daytona in the USA produced by Hot Wheels under their "Ferrari Racer" series. Apparently this item is a birthday gift from one of my good friend and I do love it a lot.
The Ferrari 365 GTB/4, better known by the unofficial name Ferrari Daytona, is a Gran-Turismo automobile produced from 1968 to 1973. It was first introduced to the public at the Paris Auto Salon in 1968 and replaced the 275 GTB/4. The Daytona was replaced by the mid-engined 365 GT4 Berlinetta Boxer in 1973. This car produced 350 hp with maximum speed of 280 km/h.
The unofficial Daytona name is reported to have been applied by the media rather than Ferrari and commemorates Ferrari's 1-2-3 finish in the February 1967 "24 Hours of Daytona" with the 330P4.
Although it was also a Pininfarina design, as with many previous Ferrari road cars (by Leonardo Fioravanti), the 365 GTB/4 was radically different. Its sharp-edged styling resembled a Lamborghini more than a traditional Pininfarina Ferrari.
For now, let's review this die cast car models;
First, the packaging;
Out of the packaging, you will get the car and a sticker which you can stick in anywhere you like;
And now, the car;
Features of the item - the Ferrari logo;
Another Ferrari logo at the rear part;
Nicely designed wheels;
The interior is quite typical of Hot Wheels.... nothing great, just as simple as it used to be;
Once a while during the weekend, I drive this Porsche Boxter (model 2005 - 987 - 2.7L engine with 237 hp only) and I can tell you that driving a "roadster" is so much fun. This car I drive may not be as powerful as other car but the joy of handling while driving this car at high speed around corners is marvelous. This Daytona was a traditional front-engined, rear-drive car but somehow I believe it falls to the category of "roadster" and I can imagine that it would be extremely fun driving it bearing in mine you have that Ferrari logo on the car ^__^
Overall, this is quite a nice die cast car models of Ferrari 365 GTS/4 or rather Ferrari Daytona. As a birthday gift from a good friend, I love it. It's red and it's Ferrari - perfect!!!! - I've been wanting to start collecting some Ferrari for quite some time now and I guess I can really start now, so in the near future you will see a few more Ferrari to appear here in Shewsbury Land.
