OOO Combo Change 07 Kamen Rider OOO Shauta Combo
We continue our journey with the magnificent action figures from Kamen Rider OOO, the OOO Combo Change series from Bandai with the number 7 of the combo called Shauta.
This is OCC07 Kamen Rider OOO Shauta Combo.
Shauta combo is a combination from Shachi (killer whale) head, Unagi (eel) body and Tako (octopus) legs.
Outside the box;
You will get all these stuff, which is the head, body and the legs part. The eel whips can glow in the dark.
As usual, let's check out the body of the figure;
Articulation for this figure is good. The usual kneeling pose is never a problem;
A little bit of close up on the body and all the details;
And now, some action pose;
The "eel whips" is kind of fund weapon.... most of the time I like to think of it as one of those sex vibrators commonly used in Japanese Adult Videos;
You can use your imagination on the pictures below - basically I think that is how he use it against female opponents LOL;
The legas feature inner and outer panels that pop open to give the ilusion of him having more legs than usual (just like octopus).... again you need to use your imagination skills here;
There is some decent articulation features there as well;
So you can do the usual Kamen Rider kick with extra legs?
And last but not least, if you have the rest of the family of OCC figure series from Bandai, you can actually perform any unique combination that you can think off....
For example, something like in the picture below;
Apparently I still missed the OCC04 SaGohZo, still trying hard to get that one now, hopefully I can obtain it within this year. The OCC08 PuToTyra will arrive soon together with the OCC06 Kamen Rider Birth.
Overall, this is a fun action figure with some nice gimmicks and features. I like it very much and can easily recommend it to any Kamen Rider OOO fans and collectors alike. I can see some cutting marks (or knubs) on certain area of this figure but I can live with it since this kind of action figures offer some nice gimmicks.
As usual, almost all figures have their own positive and negative points and at the end we do need to accept some compromise but then again even the so called "high end collector figures" from Bandai S.H. Figuarts also have their own problem and generate some concerns from the relevant collectors now and then so I guess it's hard to really expect "perfection" from a Japanese product made in Chinese factory.
Frankly speaking, if I have to choose between OCC series and S.H. Figuarts, I guess I would surely go for the OCC because at least they offer some fun gimmicks. S.H. Figuarts surely offer great details but sometimes I want more than that....
Although naturally we would like to collect all the figures, if you ask me to choose only 1 from the 7 of them (bearing in mind that Kamen Rider Birth is another guy), I will recommend the OCC05 TaJaDol combo as I think that is the coolest of them all.
