1/12 Miniature Room - Modern Room

This is the review for 1/12 Miniature Room - Modern Room (or rather living room) produced by Bunka.

This set includes plenty of stuff you need to host the perfect 1/12-scale living room.

This elegantly appointed miniature living room consists of a black leather-look sofa, a set of cabinets, low bookshelf, "glass"-topped coffee table, and a spiffy TV set (which looks like a LCD computer monitor). Also included is a cardboard printed floor and walls, with fixtures (door, poster, clock, framed picture, and dartboard) to cut out and place wherever you like.

The box...

Out of the box... you will get all these stuff....

A cardboard printed floor and walls...

A black leather-look sofa...

Can fit 4 Figmas (MaxFactory) and surely for S.H. Figuarts figures (Bandai)...

A "glass"-topped coffee table...

We love to do that don't we?

A set of cabinets with openable door...

A low bookshelf..

A not so great TV set (which looks like a LCD computer monitor)...

And again the cardboard printed floor and walls...

Comes with this 1 piece of paper showing the suggested diorama display...

On the other page of that paper you can find the fixtures (door, poster, clock, framed picture, and dartboard) to cut out and place wherever you like...

This is basically how "cramp" the room is if you use the default walls and floor...

Obviously I wont use it... the good thing with this kind of thing is that you can create your own custom wall and floor and do more extra touch up to make it bigger and better....

As the TV set looks lousy.... I prefer to use my other TV set which I bought from Multi Toys Jakarta (probably the biggest toys and hobby shop in Jakarta) last summer.

With "Sony" brand on it..... looks much better obviously.... though it would be better if it's Panasonic....

If you happen to visit Jakarta, you should visit this shop, from GunPla, Kamen Rider, Figma, Star Wars stuff, Hot Toys, Rement, Hot Wheelsand anything else you that money can buy - they have it..... I've never seen such big shop that have almost everything under 1 roof....

I went to their Multi Toys Kelapa Gading Branch and I feel like walking into a toys and hobby wonderland - it's a big shop, 2 store and lot's of stuff to matched your wallet.

You can view some photos from Multi Toys Kelapa Gading Branch on this link below;

I only prefer 2 toys/hobby shop in Jakarta, this Multi Toys Kelapa Gading Branch and the other one is White Base Jakarta at Mangga Dua Square.

These 2 shop is enough to make me spent lots of money....

The same with this radio/speaker set.... I bought it from Multi Toys Jakarta as well....

As I said, with this kind of thing... you can use your creativity to do plenty of diorama or display set that you like and you can change it from time to time...

As this is my first try which I call it as "Prototype 1" - I decide to just use things that I can find in the house.... I use box to be the walls and that floor thing is something that I bought from a local shop. Not sure what is it for actually but I bought it last year for this kind of project which I planned since last year....

Have a look at this "Prototype 1"....

I use those "Gundam pilot" from MG 1/100 scale and imagined them as some sort of PVC figures.... would be nice if you can paint them....

A tribute to my favorite movies - "The GodFather Trilogy"...

And this is some sort of diorama that I decide to do for now....

Itsuki explain to Mikuru about the katana and let Mikuru hold it to feel how heavy it is....

While Haruhi is pointing something interesting she saw on that TV and Kyon just there to accompany her....

This black cat is their pet for quite sometime now...

Yuki is browsing Shewsbury Land and reading this review....

Well that's all for now.... there are lots of other interesting way to do the diorama, this is just the first of many more to come.... we look forward to it....

Overall, for 4,800 yen ( about SGD 76.00) before adding shipment charges (about SGD 33.00) this item is quite pricey but if you really love your figures and want them to have fun or if you just love to have a well made living room set, I guess you don't mind to pay for it...

This is really not something for everybody but there are some people out there somewhere would appreciate this item from Bunka.

Looks like I'll just DIY it from drawing block paper. >.>

The prototype 1 looks like a typical Rider's house (with manly posters and all). =D
