Revoltech Yukimura Sanada

These are the latest items from Revoltech Yamaguchi, sculpted by Yamaguchi Katsuhisha and that is none other than the Crimson Demon of War - Revoltech Yukimura Sanada (from the anime Sengooku Basara (Season 1) and they also got a video games for this series produced by Capcom. In fact the anime is the adaptation from the video games.

These items were released last week 14 November 2009 if I'm not mistaken and we just got it today from the post office.

At 2,286 yen (about SGD 35.00) before shipment charges, this item offer great value for money - especially since we get 21% discount for it... Revoltech really try to steal some portion of market share from Figma - probably the only direct competent competitor when it come to posable action figures at around the same price range.

The box...

Out of the box...

The action base/display stand with adapter and a catalog for other revoltech's product.

You will get all these stuff...

The figure...

This is the "Revoltech Coin" which you can use to get discount or to purchase special items from Revoltech events (usually in Japan) or maybe thru their online store.

The action base/display stand now comes with some sort of "extension stuff"

Revoltech box... Figma will give us the plastic bag to put all the accessories and extra stuff and Revoltech try to outplay them with this interesting Revoltech Box - it is basically for you to put all the accessories and extra stuff...

OK, as usual let's have a look at the figure...

Though the face is not 100% to the anime but I think overall it is still acceptable... I am more choosy and fussy when it comes to female face...

The details on the figure's clothing, armor and accessories is quite impressive...

I remember Revoltech using this kind of style in their previous Dante Devil May Cry figurine. It is not something great but it is also not terrible either and perhaps this is the only available or the best method that can the designer can think off when he/she designed the figure.

Articulation? This is Revoltech we're talking about, not some cheap stuff, so articulation is never a problem or rather is a must...

I would like to share about the face changing method... since Revoltech never give any manual or some sort so you do need to figure out how to do it... then again, if you get used to the previous Revoltech items and/or Figma, is not that difficult to find out about it...

Basically you need to separate the body and the head part....

And just attached this extra face onto that hole that you can see on the photo above and connect the head and the body back to the original state.

The weapons... dual spear sharpen by Daimyo Takeda Shingen...

Those who bought the first batch release of this item are lucky to get the spears with silver chromed color...

Even the gold part is quite shiny gold...

They say this is an ultra posable action figure and therefore you can do plenty of action pose with it... I just show a few of them here, otherwise we will end up with too many photos...

I also prefer to use the Figma stand.... yes, you can use the Figma stand for this item.. amazing... a nice coincidence convenient....

Well, I think that's enough for now... if you want more action pose, you should grab this item and do any action pose that you like with it...

Our local toy store (Chong Hock Toynation) will bring some stock for this Yukimura Sanada as well as Masamune Date... You better rush and make reservation for it coz only the first batch will get the "silver chromed plated" and "gold plated" treatment...

Overall this is indeed a very nice posable action figure with attractive price range and offer great value for money and it is a must get if you're a big fan of the anime or the video games or if you just love posable action figures.... if you're a Revoltech fan though... I guess I don't have to say much more about it... you would love this for sure...

The only complains I have for this item is the difficulties make the figure stand on its own foot without any support of the action base what so ever but it's not really something impossible to do but you really need to put some effort.

However, if you buy Yukimura Sanada you must also buy Masamune Date... it's a must to get both of them...
